Approximately 25,000 residences in southeastern Queensland were left lacking electricity on Monday's dawn after severe thunderstorms swept through the area, bringing wind gusts hitting 109 kilometers per hour.
Large Hailstones and Widespread Impact
Homeowners observed giant hailstones measuring up to 7cm in some areas. Weather authorities confirmed that multiple regions across the state had been affected by substantial ice precipitation.
